Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sago pearls
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup rambutan, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin powder
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Mixing bowl

  • Measuring cups

Instructions:

  • In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil and add the sago pearls. Cook for about 10 minutes until translucent, stirring occasionally.
  • Once cooked, drain the sago and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the gelatin powder with 1/2 cup of boiling water until dissolved. Add sugar and stir until dissolved completely.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the rambutan, strawberries, and the gelatin mixture. Stir well to combine.
  • In serving glasses, layer the cooked sago pearls at the bottom, followed by the fruit and gelatin mixture.
  • Pour coconut milk over the top of each glass and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to set.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy your Rambutan and Strawberry Jelly Sago.
